Based on ISO 9000, the TS16949 is a technical specification that provides for continuous process improvement, aiming to reduce the amount of defects (variation) in production and the supply chain.
Industry Quality Standards

FMVSS 138: NHTSA publishes ‘Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for manufacturers selling vehicles in the United States. Section 138 defines TPMS quality standards that manufacturers must achieve in order to be sold.

SAE International (Society of Automotive Engineers) is a society providing voluntary consensus on standards development across different transportations industries. The ‘J 2567’ is an emissions standard required for automotive manufacturers.
RoHS Green Compliancy

The European Union’s ‘Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive’ took effect in 2006 and seeks to reduce the amount of toxic waste as a result of electronic waste.
This directive restricts the use of 6 hazardous substances – lead, mercury, cadmium, etc. – used in electronic equipment. The entirety of Orange’s product line meets this green standard.
